Jim Givens serves as President and Broker of Auctions United, Inc. He serves as a qualified broker and licensed auctioneer in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Florida. Jim received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Real Estate Major from Georgia State University in 1981. In 1978 he graduated from the Superior School of Auctioneering in Decatur, Illinois. In 1996 he earned the professional designation from the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAl). This designation is held by less than 10% of all licensed auctioneers nationwide. Jim has been associated with Auctions United, Inc. since its inception in 1979. His 30 plus years in the industry gives him in-depth knowledge and experience that is rarely equaled in the profession. Jim served as Floyd County Commissioner in Rome, Georgia from 1991 to 1994. This experience gives him insight and knowledge of the issues that face planning, zoning and other government issues. Jim and his wife Pam have three children and reside in Rome, Georgia. He is a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon. |
David Faulkner is a licensed real estate agent and auctioneer with Auctions United, Inc. He currently holds a real estate license in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. |
Joel Holcombe is a licensed Real Estate Agent and Auctioneer in Georgia, South Carolina, Florida and Alabama. Joel is a graduate of Coosa High School in Rome, Georgia. He is also a graduate of The Barney Fletcher School of Real Estate and The North Georgia School of Auctioneering. He attended Jacksonville State University where he majored in Business Administration and was a member of the Jacksonville State University Gamecock football team. In 2003 Joel received the professional designation of “Certified Estate Specialist” from the Auction Marking Institute He has been affiliated with Auctions United since 2001. He is experienced in selling Farms, Estates, Personal Property, and Commercial Property. Joel is a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where he serves of a Deacon; Jacksonville State Alumni Association; Unity Christian School Board; and a Graduate of Leadership Rome Joel and his wife Lucinda have two children Will and Ava and reside in Rome GA |

Doug has been affiliated with Auctions United since 1983 as a salesman and bookkeeper and holds a Georgia real estate license. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Doug worked 8 years with the Farm Credit Administration both in lending and management in the 1970’s and early 80’s. He retired from the Georgia Development Authority where he was an agricultural loan officer and a certified real estate appraiser for over 15 years. Doug recently retired from a community bank in his home town where he was a commercial lender, specializing in poultry loans. Doug and his wife reside in Elbert County, Georgia. |
Tom has been affiliated with Auctions United since 1984. He currently holds a real estate broker’s license, appraiser’s license and an auctioneer’s license. He is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Real Estate and the Barney Fletcher School of Real Estate. Tom is a graduate of the Missouri Auction School in Kansas City, Missouri. Tom has served as Vice President (North) for the Georgia Auctioneers Association. He is a former Cave Spring, Georgia City Commissioner and Deputy Chief of the Cave Spring Volunteer Fire Department. |
Johnny Bob joined Auctions United in 1995 after affiliations with other auction companies. He brings over 45 years of experience in real estate and auctions with him. He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Real Estate in1965 and received his broker’s license in 1966. He graduated from the Missouri Auction School in 1972. Johnny Bob retired in 2005 from his family business where he was the owner of Hitchcock Sales, a wholesale company, in Rome, Georgia. A graduate of East Rome High School he resides in Rome with his wife Charlene. He enjoys golf as one of his many hobbies. |
